Wow... has it already been over a year??

Lets catch up :-)  Last year I got a new job that took up all my time and mostly all my energy.  So much I completely stopped working out.   No need to say.. weight really comes back crawling on you fast!  I have gained back 10 lbs :-(

I started to old habits again... hiding myself under large clothe, not wanting to go out and dress up cause I felt so bad about myself and you guys know how it goes.

3 weeks ago I decided it was time to get back on track.  Started logging my food again with loseit.com , started walking and watching my calories and I have lost over 7 of the 10 lbs I gained this year.  I'm hoping by next week, those 10 lbs will be in the past and I can move on to lose the last 20 lbs I still needed to lose when I stopped last year.

I also started taking Herbalife shakes.  With my job that sill requires a lot of my time, I noticed I don't always have time to eat... instead what I was doing in the last year was grab a quick burger, fatty foods, or just skip meal all in all and come home dying of hunger and pigging out all evening.  So for me, who knew about Herbalife already and always had good results with it.. It was the best solution for me as meal replacements.  I've notice also a major regain on the energy level and im no longer bulging when I get home from work.

Well that's about that for today.  Im glad to be back.  And I cant wait to share my results with you guys.

Catching up

Hey guys.. havent blogged in a couple of days.. been so busy.
Spent a very nice weekend, first weekend in a while that my husband was off so we went..... shopping!!
well mostly window shopping but its so fun shopping now and being able to walk in just about any boutique where the seller doesnt give you the "euh nothing here fits you" look!

I was looking for a spring coat and usualy I would walk out of the mall empty handed because I didnt find any that fit me... then ran to Walmart in the Plus Sizes departement to buy a coat I most of the time didnt even like but at least it fit.  This weekend I walked out empty handed but not because nothing fit... just because I didnt really find any I liked LOL.  But the satifaction of being able to walk in all the boutiques and try on any coat I wanted was such a nice nice NICE feeling!

I have been pretty much off track since saturday.  We had diner at my parents house... pizza, then shopping next day, we ate at the mall and had some A&W and I havent been able to get back on track since :( yesterday had chocolat, chips last night and so on.  Thank goodness I havent gained anything!  But tomorrow morning im getting back on track and starting of my day with a walk/run with my buddie.

On another note... I had a job interview today and they hired me!  The job offers me everything I was looking for... day job, no night, no weekends.  8am to 4am 3 to 4 days a week.  Im so happy!  I didnt think I would find another week/day job.  Most of the jobs out here demand that you work some evening and weekends and with my husband that works those shifts, I didnt want to just work to pay a babysitter.  Most of all didnt want to have my daughter in school all week and have her with a babysitter all weekends.  So Im pretty happy about that.

It was so neat to go for a job interview and feel good about myself.  It was my first job interview since my weight loss and I felt so good about myself and so confident. I discovered today that there is no better feeling then feeling good about yourself.

This sunday, Tommy Europe is holding a boot camp in Montreal and im so sad that I'll miss it.  Im such a HUGE fan of Tommy Europe and there is nothing more I would like to be in one of his boot camps :(  Unfortunatly I cant afford it.. Im about 1 hour of montreal, so the cost of the boot camp, gas and a babysitter.. its impossible at the moment, since ive been out of a job for a while and we are on a strict budget.  I really hope he comes back to montreal in the futur... we will see.
Wonder if they will ever do a recording in our area for the "last 10 pounds boot camp''?

So I guess thats about everything that has been going on in the last couple of days :-)

How have you guys been?  I hope you all had a good weekend.

Talk to you soon!!

Juicing for your health.

So I've been reading on the web alot about juicer, and the benefits of homemade juice.
Im a vegetable person.  I could eat vegetables for breakfast, lunch and diner.  But as far as fruits go.. having dental problems, bitting into a piece of fruit can be pretty painfull :(
I got a juice extractor .. what a great way to get some fruits in my daily nutrition!
.
I was amazed to see so many recipes there is with fruits, vegetables and recipes for many conditions like for skin condition, constipation, liver problems, detox, joint problems and so on.  So I decided to share some of the recipes with you.

Oily Skin Remedies Juice #1 – Blackberry Kiwi
2 cups of blackberries
2 kiwis

Wash blackberries thoroughly and peel the kiwis. Both these fruits are good sources of vitamin A and great sources of zinc

Oily Skin Remedies Juice #2 – Carrot Juice

5 large carrots

Wash, juice, enjoy! Carrots are a great source of vitamin A.

Total Body Cleanse Juice #1 – Carrot Juice
5 large carrots

Carrots are beneficial for helping regenerate the mucous membranes of the colon wall. This is due to their generous supply of vitamin A, which is needed for the health of all mucous membranes in the body. Carrot juice is also great for bulking up the feces.

Total Body Cleanse Juice #2 – Apple and Pear
2 apples
2 pears

No need to peel the apples and pears, this will add some fiber to the juice. Apple and pear juices are great for helping the bowels move, so this is also a great constipation remedy.

Total Body Cleanse Juice #3 – Lemon Juice
2 lemons
water to dilute

Only juice the flesh of the lemons. Add water to your taste. This is a great juice to take on an empty stomach before breakfast. It has a great flushing effect, and is actually very beneficial for the kidneys and liver. If you warm it up a little it can help move the bowels even more, but don’t overdo the heat. The hotter the juice, the more the nutrients are destroyed.

I'll try them and as I go, will give you more information about how they tasted and so on. If you have any good recipes to share with me please dont hesitate :-)

Happy Juicing!!

Time for before and after

Lately ive been looking at myself in the mirror, discouraged saying I dont really see any changes lately.

Time for an update of the before and after picture to be encouraged again!

Feeling much better now, seeing from my own eyes that yes, there has been some changes in the last months

Went "window" shopping today for jogging shoes.... OMG they are so expensive :(  I'll have to wait a little since we are on a really tight budget since I lost my job.  Wont stop me from working out and running I can tell you that!

Hope everyone has a wonderfull weekend!

A little catching up

Havent posted in a couple of days.

Sunday my parents came over and we had a little picnic and went for a walk.  I had searched the internet for a nice walking place and when we got there... mud... more mud... and no scenery what so ever LOL  But we had fun and we were able to catch up a little. We hadnt seen eachother since Valentine's day.  Didnt even get a picture of anything so much there was like.. NOTHING to take pictures of LOL  But in all we had a really great day and my daughter behaved so well.  Not one word of complaining on her part.. She's finally growing up and doesnt whine as much now lol

Ive managed to go walk my 13km 3 times this week.  Ive been doing a walk/run for the first 10km to try and get ready for a half marathon in august.  The first 30 min I use the  C25k app on my ipod and im at week 1 right now.  1 min of running and 1:30 of walking.  Then when that is completed I have another app that I have set up to 1 min run and 2:30 walk.  My best time to the 10km mark is 1:33.  I need to get that time down so badly.  Ive read that a raisonnable time for a 10km marathon is under 1 hour and a good time would be around 40 min... WOW.. thats half the time im doing now.  I so need better running shoes.  When I run, hello shin pain!!  Im guessing thats due to not so good running shoes.  But having lost my job, we are on a very tight budget so for now.. advil keeps me going during the runs lol

This morning I texted my friend at 6am asking if she was ready to come for a run LOL.  She works at 9am and told me she would like to come run with me if it was really early in the morning before her work... So..... Got her out of bed and gave her 10 min to get ready and meet me! She was a really good sport and we had a really nice run.  It was a little slow since it was her first time and I had ran yesterday and was still sore but we managed to do it in only 4 min more then my usual time so THUMBS UP Stefanie, we did great :-)

As for food.  Well I had 1-2 bad days this week.  Ran out of veggies to snack on so I snacked on some not to good foods and the more I snacked on some bad choices.. the more I was hungry.  Makes sense, since my choices where full of sugar.  Other then that ive been doing pretty good.

I havent weight myself in a couple of days.  I plan on weighting in on monday.  I hope I see results :(  Ive been working pretty hard and although for a day or 2 I didnt make the best choices for food, I didnt really go over my calorie intake and with my run/walks have been burning lots.  We will see.

So how did you guys like this week's Biggest Loser?  Im so frustrated at Kayley!  Man so so so many people out there that would want and need to be on that ranch and here she is, and wants to leave it.  Come on!

I wonder if one day there will be a Canadian version of Biggest Loser?  It would be so awesome! Hmmm wonder how we go about to turn that into reality?  Im really surprise it hasnt been done yet.  Or has it and I missed it? lol

So thats about it.. pretty much covered my week.
I hope you guys are having a good week also!

Cheers!

Nothing much...

Well nothing much to blog about today....

Dont know what happened.  This morning it was raining like crazy and my husband has an appointement at 8:15... and for some reason that completly got me off track lol  I usually send my daughter to school a 8:00 then take time to have a good breakfast and immediatly get to my workout.  This morning was all about rush rush.. get daughter ready, get ready to leave for appointement then came back and did... NOTHING with the rest of my day.

I didnt even get my 3 meals in... I snacked all day :(  Ok I didnt snack on any junk food.  A low fat yogourt here, some veggies with hummus there, more veggies this afternoon and made myself a home pizza on a whole wheat pita, with low fat cheese and LOTS of veggies on it.  But still I feel like I am totaly off track, not having 3 real meals, no exercise nothing.  Feel like I wasnt productive at all lol

I guess its better then if I had snacked on junk food all day and I highly doubt I went over budget calorie wise and we all can take 1 day a week off from workout no? then why do I feel so guilty?  I feel so bloated also tonight but I bet its my mind playing tricks ah ah!

Ok... enough mind playing tricks on me.. im headed right now to start Jillian Michaels circuit 2 !!!
The guilt is killing me LOL

Cheers! xxxx
